The companies that belong to NTT DATA Europe and Latam S.L.U. groups (hereinafter jointly referred to as “NTT DATA”, “we”, “us”, “our”, or “ours”) will be jointly responsible for processing your personal data for specific purposes, which will be detailed below. NTT DATA hereby recognizes the importance of any and all personal information. They also acknowledge that protecting and safeguarding personal information is a fundamental principle of their business, in addition to being their social responsibility.

Who are the joint responsible for data processing? 

 

For the Tournament organization, the responsible for the data processing will be:

Why do we process your data, and what is our legal basis for that? 

 

We will process your user data on the Ween platform, as well as your identification and contact details in order to manage your participation in the eGames “Unlocking the Future” Tournament. The legal basis for these actions is the relationship you maintain with NTT DATA as a participant in the Tournament.

 

If you are an NTT DATA employee, we will also process your professional location data in order to compile statistics on NTT DATA employees’ participation in the Tournament.

 

If you are not an NTT DATA employee, we may process your academic and/or professional data, as well as your contact data to send you communications about vacant positions and professional opportunities related to NTT DATA that may interest you. The legal basis for these actions is your consent if you check the affirmative option in the registration form. If you check the negative option, i.e., which you do not want to receive any notifications, we will not communicate with you for these purposes.

 

If you are a winner, we will contact you to provide us with the address to which the prizes will be shipped.

 

Who will receive your data?

The personal data that you provide us may be communicated to companies belonging to the NTT DATA Group located outside the European Economic Area. To receive more information on international data transfer or to obtain the confirmation or a copy of the guarantees used, please contact the Data Protection Office.

Additionally, your data may be communicated to courier companies in charge of delivering the prizes to the winners, as well as to other Data Processing Managers, such as technology providers, some of which have processing and/or support centers located outside the European Economic Area. In particular, Giga eSports Adventures S.L. (Ween) provides services of organization and development of the tournament in favor of NTT Data under the figure of Data Processor. However, please note that Ween will act as the sole Data Controller of your personal data as soon as you create a user account on its platform and that your data will be processed in accordance with its privacy policy.

We guarantee that if your data leave the European Economic Area, they will maintain the same level of protection based on compliance with the provisions set forth in the European data protection regulations. In this sense, international data transfers will be made (i) to countries with an adequate level of protection declared by the European Commission (ii) based on the provision of adequate guarantees, such as standard contractual clauses or binding corporate rules, or (iii) by virtue of the authorization of the competent control authority or other assumptions provided for in the regulations.

 

How long will we keep your data? 

 

Your data will be kept while it is necessary to handle it in order to fulfill the data processing purposes, i.e., to enable your participation in the Tournament.

If you are not an NTT DATA employee and have given your consent so that we can send you communications from NTT DATA regarding recruitment processes or professional opportunities, the data will be part of our candidates’ database, provided that you do not revoke your consent or request the deletion of your data.

Once the data processing is concluded, they may remain blocked during the limitation periods established by the applicable regulations.

 

 

How is your personal data protected? 

 

We will safeguard your personal data by adopting all reasonable precautions to do so. Furthermore, we will implement all the necessary organizational and technical measures according to the current regulations against any unauthorized access and modification, disclosure, loss, or destruction. For the same purposes, we bind all the service providers that handle your personal data to act accordingly by means of a specific agreement. 

 

 

What are your rights?

You may revoke the consent given at any time, as well as request confirmation about whether your personal data is being processed by us and, if so, access them. In addition, you may request that any inaccurate data is corrected or deleted, as the case may be, if the data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, among other reasons.

Likewise, in certain circumstances, you may request that the processing of your data is limited. In this case, we will only keep them to handle or respond to complaints. You may also oppose the processing of your data in specific circumstances. In this case, we will not process your data, except for compelling legitimate reasons or to handle or respond to any possible complaints. Finally, when appropriate, you will be entitled to data portability rights in order to obtain your data in electronic format or to convey them to another entity.

If it is necessary to identify you, we may request a copy of your ID card or any other document that proves your identity. 

 

Finally, as an interested party, we inform you that should you be aware of or consider that any fact may constitute a breach of the applicable data protection regulations, please contact our Data Protection Office through any of the addresses mentioned above, notwithstanding your right to file a claim with the competent Control Authority, according to the country where you are located.
